The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes is quite youthfully reserved, unfurling with aeration to deliver notes of sweet cherries, dried flowers, peonies and sweet spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and concentrated, with a lavishly textural attack, tangy acids and a satiny chassis of tannin that clamps down on the finish. As is the rule with Barthod's wines, it will require time, but at maturity it will be superb.
