The 2005 Nero d’Avola Riserva Don Antonio is another in a series of outstanding wines from the Morgante family. Fresh mint, flowers, blueberries, blackberries and sweet spices come together in a layered, elegant expression of Nero d’Avola. Don Antonio is produced from hillside vineyards near Agrigento, one of Sicily’s most picturesque towns. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and then undergoes malolactic fermentation and aging in Allier oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2015.
