The 2003 Shiraz Max’s Garden is a cooler climate offering from the Cambrian soils of Heathcote. It possesses higher acidity than its siblings as well as a solid deep ruby/purple color, medium body, and more steely/mineral-like notes interwoven with black currant and blackberry fruit. A restrained, but well-made effort, it should drink well for a decade. This brilliant operation is a credit to the meticulous winemaking of Michael Twelftree and his staff!Importers: Vine Street Imports, Philadelphia, PA; tel.
