This is a full-bodied Sagrantino with nice acidity, tart fruit and dried blackberry with which to greet you at the door. Deeper inside, the 2016 Montefalco Sagrantino serves tart cherry, big red fruit, Indian spice, cardamom, barbecue spice and lots of deep, dark intensity. Some 19,000 bottles were made. Try it with a platter of zucchini stuffed with meat and bread.
