The stunning 2010 Chardonnay Moutere continues to drink well. Fermented and aged in 30% new oak, there's a hint of charred wood evident, but this medium to full-bodied, richly textured wine balances that element with ripe notes of honeyed oranges and pineapple. There's still ample energy and length, but I wouldn't push this wine too much further.

Creamy butter and toast notes have a lush quality, with plenty of pear and spice flavors and a terrific spicy, cedary vein. The soft texture is matched by a refreshing acidity on the finish. Drink now through 2016. 640 cases made. –MW
