Le Salette’s 2004 Valpolicella Ca’ Carnocchio spent 18 months in 100% new French oak. It is a full-bodied, backward Valpolicella packed with a beguiling array of dark fruit, earthiness, smoke and sweet toasted oak. This sumptuous, opulent Valpolicella will benefit from additional bottle age, which should allow it to gain even greater balance. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.
