The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Le Clos comes from younger vines planted in 1998. It has a lively, quite vivacious and floral bouquet with plenty of bright red fruit. The palate is supple and lithe, very nicely balanced, tender in the mouth with just a touch of lushness on the caressing finish. This is very fine even if it just seems a little curtailed by that cool August month.
