The single-vineyard 2008 Rosso Conero San Lorenzo is 100% Montepulciano. It is an attractive wine endowed with notable density in its dark red fruit, tobacco, herbs, smoke and licorice, all of which sit on a firm, intense frame. Deceptively medium in body, the San Lorenzo possesses plenty of staying power and depth. A portion of the wine (20%) was aged in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018.
