The 2006 Beryna is a blend of 60% Monastrell with the balance Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Tempranillo aged for 12 months in 33% new oak. Purple-colored, it exhibits aromas of cedar, spice box, blueberry, black cherry, and violets. Smooth-textured and mouth-coating, it has savory black fruit flavors, good balance, and a pure, fruit-filled finish. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.Importer: Aurelio Cabestrero, Grapes of Spain; www.grapesofspain.com
