The 2020 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru has turned out brilliantly in bottle, mingling aromas of dark berries, cherries and cassis with notions of licorice and exotic spices in an incipiently complex bouquet. Full-bodied, fleshy and seamless, it's deep and concentrated, with a vibrant core of fruit, ripe tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

The 2020 Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru has a very harmonious bouquet with dark cherries, blueberry, crushed violet and a touch of star anis. Very complex, the mineralité really coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with satin-like tannins, sleek and smooth yet with real depth and a mind-boggling amount of purity. Fabulous.
