This is an immensely versatile and popular wine for good reason (with a huge production of 1,800,000 bottles). The Masi 2018 Campofiorin offers brightness and plenty of Valpolicella grape purity with cherry, spicy plum and tarry smoke. The blend is 70% Corvina, 25% Rondinella and 5% Molinara, all aged in Slavonian oak for 18 months. The aromas are balanced and immediate, giving this wine a frank and genuine personality that could match a long list of your favorite foods, from pasta to meatloaf. It finishes with mid-weight intensity and a point of bright acidity. This vintage is a bit thinner and shorter overall.
