Cascina Adelaide’s 2005 Barolo 4 Vigne is a pretty, mid-weight offering. Flowers, sweet spices, herbs and red fruits are some of the nuances that emerge from this feminine Barolo. Hints of tobacco, licorice and leather linger on the long finish. The 4 Vigne is approachable today and should continue to drink nicely for a number of years although readers who want to enjoy this wine today should give it 30 minutes or so of air to allow some of the rough edges to soften.
