Along with the 2015, I also tasted the white 2016 El Tamboril, which is from a much cooler year. It's a subtler wine with lots of freshness and even less influence from the élevage, as the wine fermented and matured in a concrete egg and then aged in used barrels for some ten months. The wine is long, fresh and mineral, with a tasty, almost salty finish. According to the technical information, it has very healthy parameters, moderate alcohol and very good acidity. As with many wines here, this 2016 is the finest vintage of this bottling to date. 2016 has been a glorious year for Comando G. 674 bottles were filled in August 2018.
