The 1999 Pujanza Norte is a selection made both in the vineyard and cellars. Aged 10 months in new French oak, and bottled with neither fining nor filtering, it exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as sumptuous, spicy tobacco-like aromas intermixed with herbs, smoke, and sweet cherry and strawberry fruit. Medium-bodied with crisp acidity and fine spice, it is a finesse-styled Rioja for drinking over the next 7-8 years.
