Like most of the Cordier 1983s, Talbot is an unqualified success. The big nose of woodsy, herbal, and cassis-like fruit leaps from the glass. Jammy and full-bodied, with some viscosity and thick, chewy, port-like flavors, this full throttle yet soft, supple wine is ideal for drinking now and over the next 10 years. Last tasted, 5/93.
