Aromatically, the medium-bodied 2001 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers offers spicy dark cherries. On the palate, this lush, wonderfully deep wine bursts with black cherries and blackberries. Regrettably, this otherwise outstanding effort’s finish is somewhat constricted by edgy tannin. Projected maturity: 2004-2009.
