In 1993, Vieux-Telegraphe was able to harvest virtually all of its crop at sugar levels that produced a wine of 14% alcohol. The outstanding 1993 reveals an impressively saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a spicy, Provencal herb, pepper, black-cherry and raspberry-scented nose with a touch of licorice. Full-bodied, with firm tannin and structure (reminiscent of the 1989), as well as layered richness, this Chateauneuf du Pape has 10-15 years of aging potential.
