(14.5% alcohol; from a hillside planting of the Abel clone; 40% new oak): Medium red. Lovely spicy oaky lift to the aromas of red cherry, darker fruits and dried herbs. Sappy and dense on the palate, conveying a strong spicy character to its intense flavors of cherry, raspberry, minerals and flowers; there's something Chambolle-like about this wine. Finishes firm-edged and long.
