The 2010 Barolo opens to savory tones of forest floor, button mushroom and dried cherry. You’ll also detect a pretty level of dried herb and rosemary at the rear. Those characteristics Nebbiolo aromas are in there somewhere, but the bouquet has yet to reach focus and clarity. Drink: 2015-2022.
Owned by the Dogliani family, Beni di Batasiolo is one of the largest and most productive estates in the greater Barolo area. It counts 100 hectares of vine, of which 60 hectares are planted to Nebbiolo. Its four single-vineyard Barolo expressions are: Bofani, Boscareto, Cerequio and La Corda della Briccolina although the estate headquarters are in La Morra.
