The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of several well-known vineyards. Deep crimson-colored, it reveals toasty oak, pencil lead, earth notes, and black currants. It has solid length with light tannin in the finish. Drink it from 2012 to 2020. Since I saw him last year, Mike Januik has moved into a splendid new winery in Woodinville which he shares with Novelty Hill Winery for whom he makes the wines. Current production is at 8000 cases.
