Typical of the vintage, the 1988 Sigalas Rabaud is a stylish, finesse-styled Sauternes, with a lovely roasted/sweet honeyed character with melon, tropical fruit, and vanillin scents. More restrained, and not as large, muscular, or sweet as either the 1989 or 1990, the 1988 is an elegant, complex, medium weight wine that should drink well for 15 more years. Last tasted. 3/97
