A blend of 59% Grenache, 32% Shiraz and 9% Mourvedre, the 2010 GSM is a deep garnet-purple color and shows aromas of stewed plums and blackberry preserves with underlying dried herb, underbrush and Indian spice hints. Medium to full-bodied with lots of berry preserve and pepper flavors in the mouth, there is just a touch of astringency to the medium level of chewy tannins yet it finishes long with a refreshing lift. Drink it now to 2016.
