Tasted blind, this was a brilliant showing for Duroché's 2015 Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, a deep, brooding wine that unfurls in the glass with aromas of ripe red fruits, grilled meat, candied peel and peonies. On the palate, it's full-bodied, ample and layered, with a deep, powerful core, tangy balancing acids and a long, sappy finish.
