Deep malty aromas appear on the nose of the Montagny. As with many negociant wines from this village, this is a well-crafted wine seemingly in search of an identity. Loads of minerals, stones, and a creamy-texture are found in this medium-to-full-bodied offering. Drink it before 2001. All of Drouhin's whites, with the sole exception of the Montrachet, were bottled between early September and the end of October, 1997.
