The 1993 Elizabeth's Reserve from the Adelsheim estate vineyard exhibits a dark, saturated ruby color, and a tight, backward, reserved bouquet of earth, underbrush, red and black fruits, and spice. Medium to full-bodied, with an attractive, sweet, ripe, rich mid-palate, this moderately tannic, backward Pinot Noir requires 1-2 years of cellaring. It should turn out to be one of the longest-lived examples of this very fine Oregon vintage, aging well for at least a decade. Both the 1993 Elizabeth's Reserve and Seven Springs Vineyard were impressive from cask, and although they are slightly closed and backward from bottle, they are textbook examples of Oregon Pinot Noir from two different terroirs.Tel.
