One of the village wines, the 2012 Gratallops was cropped from the driest vintage ever in the young history of modern Priorat, a blend of 80% Garnacha and the rest Cari?ena. The nose shows a dry, Mediterranean red, with notes of esparto grass and minerals. There is good volume, round and approachable, with very fine tannins and no edges. The incredibly low pH (3.29) might be responsible for the extra freshness. It is approachable now. 7,500 bottles produced.
