Made from 100% Grenache, the 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape Cornelia Constanza is about as hedonistic and voluptuous as they come in the vintage. Loaded with sweet kirsch, blackberry, garrigue, truffle and damp underbrush aromas and flavors, this full-bodied beauty has no hard edges, a layered, decadent texture and a blockbuster finish. This is Grenache at its most sexy and exuberant. I’d drink it over the coming 3-5 years, but it will evolve for longer.

Fairly clean and modern nose. Strong, lovely full-flavoured palate. Lovely ripe tannins.
