Readers should keep an eye on this property now that it has been purchased by Bernard Decoster, who has brought in the proprietor of Angelus, Hubert de Bouard, to oversee the winemaking. A very good beginning, the 2004 exhibits notes of briery, berry fruit intermixed with notions of roasted coffee, chocolate, and garrigue. Soft, savory, and medium-bodied with a long, heady finish, and no hard edges, it should drink well for 10-12 years.
