This is one of the legitimate stars of the vintage. In all the tastings done during my ten day sojourn immersed in tasting the 1992 and 1993 Bordeaux in November, this wine stood out every time I tasted it. The wine exhibits a saturated dark ruby/purple color, and a big, flashy, bold bouquet of jammy blackcurrants, cedar, and smoky oak. Medium to full-bodied, with wonderful sweet, rich, concentrated fruit, and moderate tannin, this highly extracted, gorgeously made wine is low enough in acidity to be drunk now, yet promises to evolve gracefully for 12-15 years. It is a terrific effort for the vintage!
