The Sicilian estate of Morgante employs the brilliant Umbrian winemaking consultant, Riccardo Cotarella, to fashion this cuvee from the indigenous Nero d’Avola grape. Aged four months in French oak, it boasts a beautiful dense ruby/purple hue as well as aromas of scorched earth, black cherries, blackberries, charcoal, and graphite, full-bodied, powerful, pure flavors, and a long, heady finish. This substantial beauty should be enjoyed over the next 1-2 years.
