The 2003 La Querciolina Maremma Istriciaia (90% Sangiovese and 10% Ciliegiolo) displays a dark color along with plenty of super-ripe, candied red fruit and sweet toasted oak flavors with good balance in a soft, plush style. It appears to have the structure to age for a few years, but I would prefer to drink it on the younger side. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2010.A Marc de Grazia Selection, various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300, Vin Divino, Chicago, IL; tel.
