This wine, a blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne, and 10% Clairette, is a knock-out value (2,000 cases imported). The percentage of Roussanne gives the wine a spicy, honeyed, rose petal-scented nose, and a creamy texture. Fresh, yet spicy, fleshy, and delicious to drink, it should drink well for at least a year. This wine may be even better than my point score. Chateau de Campuget is one of the stars of the up and coming appellation of Costieres de Nimes. This wine, tank-fermented and aged, is exciting because of its wonderfully pure fruit, texture, and purity.Importer: Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC; tel. (202) 832-9083
