The 1994 Fiddletown Zinfandel is richer, more complex, and deeper on the palate than the 1994 Shenandoah Valley Zinfandel. The acidity and extract are both high, resulting in a wine with a briery, wild berry character, loamy, earthy notes, medium to full body, good spice, underlying tart acidity, and a clean, fruity finish. It should drink well for the next 3-5 years. No telephone listing available.NOTE: All the wines in this article were tasted in May, 1996.
