It’s from a vineyard in this Amador County high valley, and vine yield is very low, resulting in a concentrated wine. This may sound weird, but it’s like Pinot Noir in the silky, racy mouthfeel and elegant structure. But it’s distinctly Zin, with explosive cherry pie, carob, cola and cinnamon spice flavors.——S.H.(6/1/2007)—— 90
