The 2009 Pinot Noir Zena Crown exhibits scents of exotic spices, smoke, rose petal, black cherry, and black raspberry. This is followed by a velvety textured, ripe, spicy, concentrated wine that will blossom for several more years. It, too, should drink well through 2021 if not longer.
Veteran vigneron Lynn Penner-Ash had just celebrated a milestone birthday prior to my visit and, like her wines, she appeared to be evolving gracefully. The current collection includes two white wines.
