The 2019 Pinot Noir Roman Vineyard comes from vines planted in 1999 at 1,150 feet in elevation at the cooler north end of the Anderson Valley. It has a medium ruby color and pure scents of cranberries, cast iron, potpourri, aniseed, mushroom and burnt orange peel.
The medium-bodied palate is silky and seamless, with layer after layer of amaro-laced flavors that fan across the palate and drive the persistent finish. 210 cases were made.
