This wine is a soft, forward, chewy red wine with saddle leather, black chocolate, cedar, and jammy cherry aromas and flavors. It cuts a weighty, expansive feel on the palate, with excellent length as well as fine purity and overall equilibrium. It is a muscular, exuberant, soft, dry red made from 70% Prugnolo and 30% Aglianico. Given the fact that this wine can probably be bought for several dollars less if purchased by the case, this is another excellent value from this winery tucked in the hinterlands of Molise.
In my search for the mightiest values on planet Earth, this winery distinguished itself with a bevy of distinctive, original, flavorful, tasty wines that are selling at bargain basement prices.
