The spectacular 2000 Syrah Eddie’s Patch (made from extremely low yields) is almost primordial/gothic in its dense, broodingly backward personality. However, it exhibits extraordinarily rich, concentrated, blackberry, blueberry, charcoal, and smoky characteristics. This full-throttle, superb expression of Syrah takes no prisoners, and is not meant for those who enjoy restrained, subtle wines. It should hit its peak in 1-2 years, and last for 10-12. Tel.
