There are only 3? barrels of the 2013 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru les Baudes this year, one of which is new. It has a broodier and more introspective bouquet compared to the Beaux-Bruns, with hints of forest floor and later, a sprig of wild mint. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile, quite rigid tannins that render this a very linear Chambolle-Musigny that just cuts away a little abruptly on the finish. Not a bad Chambolle, although Ghislaine has made better premier crus in this vintage.
