The 2014 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is the top white of the estate and it won’t be released until this coming January as they like to give this release additional time in bottle. As a general rule, this is sound advice and almost every quality 2014 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc will show better next summer. This 2014 has more tension and minerality than the La Roquete releases, as well as fabulous notes of mulled pears, citrus blossom and peach. Medium to full-bodied, structured, tight and backwards, it needs another year in bottle but is a sensational white that will evolve gracefully for another decade easily.
