It pays to be a good neighbor, as Bernard Mollard learned when a nearby vigneron with an excellent parcel of Chevalier-Montrachet offered to sell his fruit. This 2003 soars from the glass with hugely ripe aromas of spice-infused cookie dough. Rich, ample, lush, and fleshy, it is a concentrated wine with sappy mineral as well as pear flavors. Medium-bodied, exhibiting outstanding purity as well as length, this is a candidate for drinking over the next 8-9 years.
