The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon Show Reserve emerges from the red soils of Coonawarra. It was aged for 24 months in a combination of wood barrels prior to bottling. The dense garnet/plum/purple color is accompanied by classic Cabernet aromas of cedar, cassis, and smoky new oak. Thick, rich, and full-bodied, this chewy, structured, well-delineated, still youthful Cabernet will not hit its prime for another 2-3 years. It should last for 12-15 years.
