The 1995 Cotes du Rhone red, which has been a winner since its release, is still available in the marketplace. Given the production of over one million bottles, there are over a dozen separate mis en bouteilles, but the blend is essentially the same for each bottling. The 1995 Cotes du Rhone, which I tasted from several different bottlings, all revealed deep ruby colors, plenty of peppery, cassis fruit, good spice, and a solid, rustic generosity. It is meant to be drunk during its first several years of life, although it will hold up for 4-5.Importer: Fred Ek, Ex Cellars Wine Agencies, Solvang, CA; tel. (805) 686-9153
