Remarkably showing better than the 2011, the 2001 St Peray Fleur de Crussol (the wine's third vintage) boasts a dark, honeyed hue in the glass. It's medium to full-bodied, rich and honeyed in feel and flavor, with delectable hints of truffle and a touch of white pepper on the finish. A marvelous old Marsanne, it should be consumed in the near future.
