Pierre-Yves Colin purchases the grapes that produced his 2016 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes, but he farms the parcel himself. And it's a success in this challenging vintage, exhibiting dramatic aromas of peach and preserved citrus, framed by nutty new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, chewy and concentrated, with good depth and substance. It's not as elegant as the Genevrières, but it's similarly promising.
