Accordingly, the better grapes were all utilized in the 2002 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Tralivio, riper and more expansive in aroma than the regular bottling and with notably more volume and length as well. Sartarelli, for a number of years, has been the leader in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi zone, and the 2002s are eminently successful in the context of a wet vintage which tried producers’ skill and patience.
