The 2009 Cepas Viejas leans more toward the black fruit, as it is a riper year, with some roasted coffee notes from the toast of the barrels and the palate is also more astringent. One has to speculate whether in 2009 they may have used a higher percentage of new barrels. It has a very dry finish. Drink 2014-2017.
