The 2009 Senda is a blend of Garnacha from different vineyards aged in oak of different ages and sizes to create an accessible wine. It has a mixture of red and black fruit aromas, plenty of vanilla and cinnamon plus a touch of smoke. The palate is medium to full-bodied with abundant tannins, perhaps a little bit more than I'd have liked to make it easier to drink. The flavors are ripe, with straw notes coming through, which is a sign of a warm growing season. Better to drink this with red meat. 25,000 bottles produced.
