The 2009 Cote Rotie La Garde is another winner. Just released by Bonserine, it boasts a flowery, perfumed style displaying moderately intense notes of black cherries, honeysuckle, raspberries, olives and earth. Long and lush, it is the densest, most concentrated Bonserine Cote Rotie. Drink it over the next decade.
Aside from a straightforward, one-dimensional Condrieu, this estate, owned by Guigal, is making better balanced, more interesting wines than they were a decade ago. The 2009 Cote Roties have just been released by Bonserine. (Most Guigal wines are released later into the marketplace because of more extended upbringings/elevages.)
