From a one-third hectare of 30-year old vines planted at 13,000 vines per hectare, the 2013 Pommard En Chiveau includes just 10% whole-cluster fruit and it was lucky enough to have missed the hailstorms. It has a clean and crisp, wild strawberry and mulberry-scented bouquet that is well defined and harmonious. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannin, a keen line of acidity with a pleasant and surprisingly fleshy, easy-drinking finish. Recommended.
